I never expected to be a blogger, but once in a while I get the urge to rant, and this seems like a good way to do it. My blogs will most likely relate to either playing the guitar or taking pictures. I love guitars and I love cameras, although I'm not particularly adept at using either one. Still, I can be as opinionated as the next guy, and here is where I'll be stating my case.

The Hooters Experience
Spider and I spent the afternoon at Hooters in Tokyo, and as expected, it was a culturally uplifting experience. The food, as I recall (for some reason I'm having a hard time remembering the food), was not bad, although a bit overpriced. However, in a place like Hooters you're paying for more than just the food, you're paying for the opportunity to enjoy an internationally rich environment and to appreciate beauty from many different countries and cultures. And certainly the emissaries of all that culture, in their tank-top and hot-pants uniforms, were the highlight of the afternoon. All in all, it was a very enjoyable time, and Spider seemed to be in a better-than-average mood at the gig later that night. More on that later.

Time for some culture
This doesn't really have anything to do with guitars or cameras, but this Friday I'll be going to the new Hooters Tokyo for the first time with my good friend and guitar mentor Spider Tetsu. Spider and I both appreciate a cultural experience, and that's what this promises to be. Hopefully I'll be able to post some pics of what should be a spiritually uplifting encounter.
